Pay Scale:

• Pay Band: ₹30,000–₹1,10,000
• Grade Pay: ₹13,300
• Pay Level: Pay Band 4
• Other allowances as per Assam Government rules.

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification:

• Postgraduate degree in Planning with specialization in one of the following fields:
  • Urban Planning
  • Regional Planning
  • Town Planning
  • City Planning
  • Transportation Planning
  • Housing
  • Infrastructure Planning
  • Environmental Planning
• The degree must be from a UGC/AICTE/ITPD-recognized university or institution.

Domicile:

• The candidate must be an Indian citizen as per Articles 5–8 of the Constitution of India.
• A valid Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) or Employment Exchange Registration Certificate issued in Assam is required.

Age Limit (as of January 1, 2024):

• Minimum Age: 21 years
• Maximum Age: 38 years

Age Relaxation:

• SC/ST: 5 years
• OBC/MOBC: 3 years
• Ex-Servicemen: Maximum 50 years (relaxable further for OBC/MOBC by 3 years and SC/ST by 5 years).
• PwBD: 10 years irrespective of category.

Application Fee:

• General: ₹297.20 (₹250 + ₹40 processing fee + 18% tax on processing fee)
• OBC/MOBC: ₹197.20 (₹150 + ₹40 processing fee + 18% tax on processing fee)
• SC/ST/BPL/PwBD: ₹47.20 (Processing fee only)

Selection Process:

1. Screening/Written Test (if required):
   • Details will be announced in the official notification later.
2. Interview/Viva-Voce:
   • Candidates will be shortlisted based on merit.

Application Process:

1. Visit the APSC recruitment portal: https://apsc.nic.in.
2. Complete the One-Time Registration (OTR) process.
3. Fill out the online application form and upload required documents, including:
   • Proof of age (10th/12th certificate).
   • Educational certificates and mark sheets.
   • PRC or Employment Exchange Registration Certificate.
   • Caste certificate (if applicable).
   • Declaration for Small Family Norms (Form A).
4. Pay the application fee online.
5. Submit the application and save the acknowledgment for future reference.
