The Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) has announced 400 vacancies for the post of Medical Officer under the AFMS Recruitment 2025 notification. Eligible candidates can apply online for Short Service Commissioned Officer posts in the Armed Forces Medical Services from April 19, 2025, to May 12, 2025.

AFMS Medical Officer Vacancy 2025 Details:

Applications are invited for a total of 400 vacant posts under the AFMS Recruitment 2025 Notification for the following categories:

• Male Candidates: 300
• Female Candidates: 100

AFMS Medical Officer Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for the AFMS Medical Officer vacancy 2025, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

Educational Qualification:

• The MBBS degree is recognized under the National Medical Commission Act, 2019.
• Candidates must possess permanent registration from any State Medical Council/MCI/NMC.
• PG degree holders recognized by the State Medical Council/MCI/NBE/NMC are also eligible.

Age Limit (as on December 31, 2025):

• MBBS Holders: Must not have attained the age of 30 years (born on or after January 2, 1996).

• Postgraduate Degree Holders: Must not have attained the age of 35 years (born on or after January 2, 1991).​

AFMS Medical Officer Selection Process:

1. Shortlisting of Candidates (Based on eligibility criteria & qualifications)
2. Interview
