ONLINE Applications are invited from ELIGIBLE Indian citizens for recruitment of following posts in Level 1 & 2 of Pay Matrix 7th CPC against Scouts and Guides Quota for the year 2023-24 in Northern Railway. The posts are open to all candidates and candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/Ex-SM/PWD categories who will apply against this notification will be extended relaxation in age limit as admissible in a general open market recruitment. However, if selected with any relaxation for being a candidate from the above categories, he/she will be taken against the reserved roster point.

Vacancies:

• Group ‘C’ (Level 2 of Pay Matrix 7th CPC): 5 positions
• Group ‘D’ (Level 1 of Pay Matrix 7th CPC): 20 positions

Essential Educational Qualifications:

For Group ‘C’ (Level 2):

• Passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination with at least 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized Board. (50% marks are not required for SC/ST/ExSM candidates and those with higher qualifications such as graduation/post-graduation).

For Group ‘D’ (Level 1):

• 10th Pass or ITI or equivalent or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT.

Scouting Qualifications (for both levels):

• A President Scouts/Guide/Rover/Ranger OR Himalaya Wood Badge (HWB) holder in any section.
• Should have been an active member of a Scouts organization for the last 5 years.
• Should have attended two events at National level OR All Indian Railway’s level and two events at State level.

Age Limit:

• For Level 2: 18 to 30 years (UR), with an age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC.
• For Level 1: 18 to 33 years (UR), with an age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC.

• Start of Online Application: 17.01.2024 at 12:00 hours
• Closing of Online Application: 17.02.2024 at 12:00 hours
• Expected Date of Online Written Examination: 09.03.2024

Application Process: 

Candidates need to submit separate application forms along with the examination fee for each application. The candidature of the applicant is provisional and subject to fulfilling the eligibility conditions.
