Applications are invited for a total of 04 vacant posts under the following categories:

Madras High Court Judicial & NJ Member Recruitment 2025 Eligibility Criteria:

1. Age Limit (as on 01.07.2025)

• Minimum Age: 40 years
• Maximum Age: 65 years (or completion of a 4-year term, whichever is earlier)

2. Educational Qualifications & Experience

For Judicial Member:

• Must have at least 10 years of experience as a Presiding Officer of a District Court or Tribunal at an equivalent level.
• Retired/serving judicial officers must submit details of five of their best judgments or judicial orders in the application.

For Non-Judicial Member:

• Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university.
• Must have at least 10 years of professional experience in any of the specified fields.

Language Requirement:

• Candidates must read, write, and speak Tamil fluently.

Gender Representation:

• At least one Judicial or Non-Judicial Member must be a woman, as per Consumer Protection Rules, 2020.

Madras High Court Judicial & NJ Member Recruitment 2025 Selection Process:

Selection will be based on merit, through:

1. Common Written Examination (200 Marks)

• Paper I (Objective Type) – 100 Marks (2 Hours)
• Paper II (Descriptive Type) – 100 Marks (3 Hours)
• Minimum Qualifying Marks: 50% per paper

2. Viva-Voce (50 Marks)

• Candidates shortlisted in a 1:3 ratio based on written exam performance.
• Assesses mental alertness, general knowledge, ethics, communication skills, and decision-making ability.

3. Final Merit List

• Based on combined Written Exam and Viva-Voce marks.
