The ICAR-Central Institute of Freshwater Aquaculture (ICAR-CIFA) in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, has released a recruitment notification for various specialist and officer positions under the SAARC Development Fund (SDF) supported project “AquaLivelihood”.

Vacancy & Salary Details:

Applications are invited for a total of 4 vacant posts under the following categories:

Eligibility Criteria:

Communication Specialist

• Qualification: Advanced degree in communications, media relations, or social studies.
• Experience: Minimum 7 years in communications, including media events and graphic design.
• Skills Required:
  • Proficiency in photography, graphic design, and digital media.
  • Strong English writing and presentation skills.
  • Experience in government, NGO, or international projects is preferred.

Project Finance & Account Officer

• Qualification:
  • Retired Senior-Level Finance Officer from a government office, OR
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Commerce + MBA.
• Experience: Minimum 7 years in finance, accounting, or office administration.
• Skills Required:
  • Proficiency in financial reporting and auditing.
  • Knowledge of government procurement and compliance.
  • Familiarity with financial software and Excel.

Administration & Operations Officer

• Qualification:
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree (Diploma in Computer Applications preferred).
• Experience: Minimum 7 years in office administration.
• Skills Required:
  • Expertise in event planning, record management, and office operations.
  • Strong skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Aquaculture Specialist

• Qualification:
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Fisheries Science, Aquaculture, or Zoology.
• Experience: Minimum 10 years in fish breeding, hatchery management, and aquaculture.
• Skills Required:
  • Experience in training fish farmers and establishing farmer groups.
  • Knowledge of Fisheries and Livestock Development.

Selection Process:

• Screening of CVs: Only candidates meeting the minimum eligibility criteria will be shortlisted.
• Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be notified via email and called for a personal interview.
• Document Verification: Candidates must carry original documents for verification.
