 The Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) is recruiting for 01 Post of Professor (Forensic Medicine) at Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Government Medical College in Mandi. This post is for Class-1 (Gazetted) post and the pay scale is Rs. 148,800 – 2,18,600. To apply, candidates should have a recognized medical qualification, a Master’s degree in Forensic Medicine and at least 10 years of teaching experience.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Medical Qualification: A recognized medical qualification as per the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (now National Medical Commission Act, 2019).
• Postgraduate Degree: You need to have an M.D. (Forensic Medicine) or an equivalent postgraduate degree in the relevant specialty.
• Teaching Experience: You must have at least 4 years of teaching experience as an Associate Professor in Forensic Medicine, or a combination of 7 years of teaching experience as an Associate and Assistant Professor.
• Total Teaching Experience: In all cases, a minimum of 10 years of teaching experience after Post Graduation is required.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Knowledge of customs, manners, and dialects of Himachal Pradesh.
• A minimum of 4 research publications indexed in national journals and 1 publication in an international journal.

Age Limit: The age limit for this post is 50 years or below as of January 1, 2025. However, age relaxation is available for candidates belonging to reserved categories such as SC/ST/OBC/PWD.

• SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates from HP: Relaxation of 5 years.
• HP Govt. employees, Ex-Servicemen: Age relaxation as per government norms.

Selection Process:

The selection process for HPPSC Recruitment 2025 is based on a personality test. Candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria and successfully submit their online application will be called for this test.
