Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) has announced a recruitment drive for various non-executive positions in its Marketing Division. The recruitment notification, numbered IOCL/MKTG/HO/REC/2025, invites applications for the posts of Junior Operator, Junior Attendant, and Junior Business Assistant. The last date to apply online is 23rd February 2025, and the total number of vacancies available is 246 (215 for Junior Operator, 23 for Junior Attendant, and 8 for Junior Business Assistant).

Applications are invited for a total of 246 vacant posts under the following categories:

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Educational Qualifications:

• Junior Operator (Grade I): Matric (Class X) pass with a 2-year ITI certificate in specified trades such as Electronics Mechanic, Electrician, Fitter, etc., issued by SCVT/NCVT.
• Junior Attendant (Grade I) (PwBD Reserved): Higher Secondary (Class XII) with a minimum of 40% marks in aggregate.
• Junior Business Assistant (Grade III) (PwBD Reserved): Graduation from a recognized university/institute.

2. Work Experience:

• Junior Operator (Grade I): Minimum of one year post-qualification work experience in a relevant field in a factory or manufacturing organization. Apprenticeship training under the Apprentice Act will be considered as experience if a National Apprentice Certificate is produced.
• Junior Attendant and Junior Business Assistant: Work experience is not mandatory for these positions.

3. Age Criteria:

• Minimum Age: 18 years.
• Maximum Age: 26 years for unreserved candidates as of 31-01-2025.

4. Age Relaxation:

• SC/ST Candidates: Up to 5 years.
• OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) Candidates: Up to 3 years.
• PwBD Candidates: Up to 10 years (15 years for SC/ST, and 13 years for OBC-NCL).
• Ex-Servicemen: Can deduct the period of armed forces service from their actual age. The resultant age should not exceed the prescribed maximum age by more than:
  • 3 years for General & EWS candidates.
  • 8 years for SC/ST candidates.
  • 6 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates.

Selection Process:

The selection details will be announced in the detailed notification. The expected selection process for the Junior Operator, Junior Attendant, and Junior Business Assistant posts will consist of the following stages:

1. Computer-Based Test (CBT): The first stage will be a CBT to assess the candidate’s technical knowledge, reasoning ability, and general awareness.
2. Skill/Proficiency/Physical Test (SPPT): Shortlisted candidates from the CBT will be called for a skill or physical test, depending on the post.
3. Document Verification: Final selection will be subject to the verification of original documents.

Application Fee:

• General, EWS, and OBC (NCL) candidates are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of ₹300.
• Additionally, candidates must bear the GST and bank transaction charges for the online payment of the application fee.
• SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen candidates are exempted from paying the application fee.
