RCF Kapurthala Sports Quota Recruitment 2025

Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala, invites applications from talented sportspersons for recruitment under the Sports Quota 2024-25. Eligible candidates with outstanding achievements in various sports disciplines are encouraged to apply.

Vacancy Details:

Applications are invited for a total of 23 vacant posts:

Pay Scale:

For Level-1 (Grade Pay ₹1,800)

• Pay Scale: ₹18,000 – ₹56,900 (Level-1 as per 7th CPC Pay Matrix).
• Gross Monthly Salary: Includes allowances such as DA (Dearness Allowance), HRA (House Rent Allowance), and TA (Transport Allowance) as per Railways norms.

For Level-2 (Grade Pay ₹1,900)

• Pay Scale: ₹19,900 – ₹63,200 (Level-2 as per 7th CPC Pay Matrix).
• Gross Monthly Salary: Includes allowances such as DA, HRA, and TA as per Railways norms.

Eligibility Criteria:

Age Limit:

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age: 25 years as on July 1, 2025
• No age relaxation allowed.

Educational Qualification:

• For Level-1 (₹1,800 Grade Pay):
  • Essential: 10th Pass OR National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT OR ITI Certificate.
• For Level-2 (₹1,900 Grade Pay):
  • Essential: 10th Pass plus ITI OR completion of Act Apprenticeship in relevant trades.

Note: Diploma in Engineering or higher qualifications are not accepted as substitutes for ITI/Apprenticeship.

Sports Achievements:

• For Wrestling (Men): Representation in international championships such as Commonwealth/Asian/South Asian Federation Games OR at least 3rd position in national events.
• For Hockey (Men/Women): Participation in recognized tournaments like World Cup, Champions Trophy, or National Championships with podium finishes.
• For Football (Men): Consistent performance at recognized state/national/international events.
• For Cross Country (Men): Top 3 positions in recognized junior or senior championships.
• For Weightlifting (Women): Achievements in international/national championships.
• For Basketball (Men): Represented the country or placed in national tournaments.

Achievements must be in the current or immediate preceding 2 years (i.e., April 1, 2022 – date of application). The candidate must be an active player.

Selection Process:

1. Trial Phase:
   • Eligible candidates will be called for sports trials.
   • Evaluation Criteria:
     • Game Skill, Physical Fitness, and Coach’s Observation: 40 marks (minimum qualifying: 25).
2. Document Verification and Merit List:
   • Final merit is based on:
     • Sports Achievements: 50 marks.
     • Game Skill & Trial Performance: 40 marks.
     • Educational Qualifications: 10 marks.
3. Probation Period:
   • Selected candidates will undergo two years of probation and may undergo training as required.

Application Fee:

• General/OBC: ₹500 (₹400 refundable after trial if the candidate appears).
• SC/ST/Women/Ex-Servicemen/PwBD/Minorities/EBC: ₹250 (fully refundable after trial if the candidate appears).

How to Apply:

1. Application Form:
   • Download the form from www.rcf.indianrailways.gov.in.
   • Fill out the form in your own handwriting.
2. Documents Required:
   • Recent passport-sized photograph (attested).
   • Self-attested copies of:
     • Educational certificates.
     • Sports achievements certificates.
     • Caste certificate (if applicable).
   • Fee receipt.
3. Submission Address:
   • Send the completed application to:
     General Manager (Personnel), Recruitment Cell, Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala, Punjab–144602.
   • Superscribe the envelope with:
     “RECRUITMENT AGAINST SPORTS QUOTA FOR THE YEAR 2024-25 IN LEVEL-1/LEVEL-2.”
4. Deadline:
   • Applications must reach the office by February 3, 2025, 5:00 PM.

General Instructions:

• Ensure all eligibility criteria are met before applying.
• Original documents must be presented at the time of trials/interviews.
• No TA/DA or accommodation will be provided for the trials.
• Bring your own sports kits and be prepared to stay for 2-3 days during the trials.
