Pay Scale & Benefits:

• Pay Level: Level 11 of the Pay Matrix (₹67,700 – ₹2,08,700)
• Total Emoluments: Approximately ₹1,34,907 per month, including allowances like DA, HRA, and TA as per Chennai’s Class “X” city classification.

Job Location:

Chennai, Tamil Nadu, with regional centers in Ahmedabad, Jalandhar, Kanpur, and Kolkata

Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification:

• Master’s Degree (M.E./M.Tech) or equivalent in relevant fields like Leather Technology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Apparel Design, or similar disciplines.
• Ph.D. qualifications in specialized areas are desirable for specific posts.

Age Limit (as of last application date):

• Maximum: 32 years for UR candidates (age relaxations applicable for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD as per Government norms).

Desirable Experience:

• Research experience, publications in SCI-indexed journals, or patents in relevant fields.
• Proficiency in technology innovation, product development, or applied sciences.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct innovative R&D in specialized areas such as leather processing, material science, environmental sustainability, and allied sciences.
• Develop advanced testing methods and provide troubleshooting solutions for industry-related challenges.
• Undertake collaborative projects, secure extramural funding, and contribute to the institute’s growth.
• Lead research teams and contribute to human resource development through training and workshops.

Selection Process:

2. Interview: A panel will evaluate shortlisted candidates on technical knowledge, research potential, and suitability for the role.
