The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the NIFT Entrance Examination 2024 for admissions into undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), and doctoral (Ph.D.) programs offered by the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) for the academic session 2025-26.

Undergraduate Programs (UG):
- Bachelor of Design (B.Des.)
- Bachelor of Fashion Technology (B.F.Tech.)
Postgraduate Programs (PG):
- Master of Design (M.Des.)
- Master of Fashion Technology (M.F.Tech.)
- Master of Fashion Management (M.F.M.)
Doctoral Program (Ph.D.):
- Research-based program across design and technology disciplines.
Eligibility Criteria:
For UG Programs:
- B.Des.:
- Passed or appearing in 10+2 examination from a recognized board.
- Maximum Age: 24 years (as of 01 August 2025).
- B.F.Tech.:
- Passed or appearing in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
- Maximum Age: 24 years (as of 01 August 2025).
For PG Programs:
- M.Des. and M.F.M.:
- Undergraduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
- M.F.Tech.:
- Undergraduate degree in B.F.Tech. or equivalent.
For Ph.D.:
- Master’s degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent.
Examination Pattern:
For B.Des. Programs:
- Tests: General Ability Test (GAT) + Creative Ability Test (CAT)
- Shortlisting: Based on scores in GAT and CAT, followed by a Situation Test.
For B.F.Tech. Programs:
- Test: General Ability Test (GAT)
For M.Des. Programs:
- Tests: General Ability Test (GAT) + Creative Ability Test (CAT)
- Shortlisting: GAT and CAT scores, followed by a Personal Interview.
For M.F.Tech. and M.F.M.:
- Test: General Ability Test (GAT)
- Shortlisting: Based on GAT scores, followed by a Personal Interview.
For Ph.D. Programs:
- Tests: Written test and Research Proposal Presentation & Interview.
Mode of Examination:
- GAT (General Ability Test): Computer-Based Test (CBT)
- CAT (Creative Ability Test): Paper-Based Test (PBT)
