Eligibility Criteria for NMDC Recruitment of Junior Officer (Trainee) 2024

NMDC Limited, a Navaratna Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Steel, invites applications for the following Junior Officer Trainee posts across various disciplines. Below are the detailed eligibility criteria for each position:

General Eligibility:

1. Age Limit:
   • Maximum: 32 years.
   • Relaxations:
     • SC/ST: 5 years.
     • OBC (NCL): 3 years.
     • PwD/Ex-Servicemen: As per government norms.
     • NMDC Departmental Candidates: Up to 15 years.
2. Selection Process:
   • Stage 1: Online Test (CBT) – 100 marks.
   • Stage 2: Supervisory Skill Test – Qualifying in nature.
3. Other Requirements:
   • Indian nationality.
   • Fitness for relevant physical/medical standards.

Educational Qualification:

1. Junior Officer Trainee (Commercial)

• Educational Qualification:
  • Degree in Engineering, or
  • Graduate with MBA/PG Degree or Diploma in Marketing/Foreign Trade/Sales Management, or
  • Graduate with CA/ICMA.

2. Junior Officer Trainee (Environment)

• Educational Qualification:
  • Degree in Civil/Chemical/Mining/Environment Engineering, or
  • PG Degree in Environmental Management/Engineering/Science/Geology/Chemistry/Botany, or
  • PG Degree/Diploma in Environment Management (2 years), or
  • Doctorate in Environment Studies/Impact Assessment.

3. Junior Officer Trainee (Geo & QC)

• Educational Qualification:
  • M.Sc./M.Sc. (Tech.)/M.Tech. in Geology.

4. Junior Officer Trainee (Mining)

• Educational Qualification:
  • Diploma in Mining Engineering with a Foreman’s Certificate of Competency (Open Cast Metalliferous Mine), or
  • Degree in Mining Engineering with a 2nd Class Mines Manager Certificate of Competency (Open Cast Metalliferous Mine).
• Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience (for Diploma holders).

5. Junior Officer Trainee (Survey)

• Educational Qualification:
  • Diploma in Mining or Mines & Mine Surveying with a Mine Surveyor’s Certificate of Competency under MMR.
• Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience.

6. Junior Officer Trainee (Chemical)

• Educational Qualification:
  • M.Sc. (Chemistry) or Degree in Chemical Engineering.

7. Junior Officer Trainee (Civil)

• Educational Qualification:
  • Diploma in Civil Engineering, or
  • Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience in construction, including industrial buildings, conveyor gallery structures, RCC buildings, townships, water supply systems, and roads (for Diploma holders). Knowledge of drafting software is an advantage.

8. Junior Officer Trainee (Electrical)

• Educational Qualification:
  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering with an Electrical Supervisory Certificate (Mining), or
  • Degree in Electrical/Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
• Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience in HT/LT systems, repairs, maintenance, and plant machinery (for Diploma holders).

9. Junior Officer Trainee (Industrial Engineering)

• Educational Qualification:
  • Degree in Industrial Engineering, or
  • Degree in Mining/Mechanical/Production Engineering with PG Degree/Diploma in Industrial Engineering.

10. Junior Officer Trainee (Mechanical)

• Educational Qualification:
  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, or
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience in maintenance, repairs, and operation of heavy earthmoving equipment (for Diploma holders).
