The selection process for GAIL India’s E1 & E2 Grade positions is designed to identify the most suitable candidates for various technical and managerial roles. Below is the detailed selection process based on the official recruitment notification:

General Selection Process:
- Screening of Applications:
- Candidates’ applications will be screened based on eligibility criteria, including educational qualifications, experience, and other conditions mentioned in the advertisement.
- Only candidates meeting all criteria will be shortlisted for the next stages.
- Assessment Stages:
Depending on the position, the selection process will include the following stages:- Group Discussion (GD)
- Skill Test (For specific posts)

Post-wise Selection Details:
- Senior Engineers and Senior Officers (General Roles):
- Group Discussion (GD)
- Personal Interview
- Senior Officer (Fire & Safety) & Officer (Security):
- Physical Endurance Test (PET): Tests physical fitness essential for these roles.
- Personal Interview.
- Note: PwBD candidates are exempted from the PET.
- Officer (Official Language):
- Skill Test (Translation work between English and Hindi).

Qualifying Marks:
- Group Discussion/Skill Test/PET:
- 40% for UR/EWS/OBC candidates.
- 35% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.

- 55% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.
Shortlisting:
- If the number of eligible applicants is large, GAIL may raise the minimum eligibility standards to shortlist candidates for the selection process.
